From Day to Night, Post-Pandemic Coworking Perfection

Welcome to the Village

When choosing the perfect coworking space, there are many things that feature at the top of our list; great location, speedy wifi and great networking opportunities. But what about our everyday needs? Where can you find the best coffee, snacks and places to buy a birthday card? Don’t worry, we’ve thought of those – for every need we’re one of the best-located workspaces in LA!

Nestled in the heart of the Westside Media District and culturally vibrant Sawtelle neighbourhood, we’re conveniently located just blocks away from both the 405 and the I-10. For those who favor public transit, we’re just minutes from the Expo line station, making Downtown LA  or Downtown Santa Monica commutes a breeze!

Now for our next priorities, we need to focus on food and drink...after all who can focus when they’re hangry and uncaffeinated? We’ve got plenty of options right by our office, so you can ditch Postmates and take a short walk to get your fix. With world-class dining options and your favorite convenience stores just steps away, there's no shortage of places to walk to when you need a break from your daily hustle.

First up, we detail our favorite spots for your fix of fancy espresso! Within a minutes walk you’ll find the LA staple, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, which has a range of snacks and soft drinks too. Starbucks, is a slightly longer stroll at 15 minutes but gives you time to take a quick call on your way there.

Food and Drink

Let’s talk lunchtime essentials. For those who’re feeling a quick salad or wrap Trader Joe’s is just a three-minute walk away, making it ideal for take out or grabbing groceries in your lunch break. There’s also a Ralph’s within five minutes walk which has groceries, household essentials and more.

If you’re looking to have someone else take care of the prep, Tacos Por Favor are renowned for their amazing Mexican food and huge menu. Choose from Tacos, Burritos, Tostadas, Quesadillas and anything else you can think of that goes well with a side of guac and chips!

For those in the mood for Japanese,  Tatsu Ramen is a short walk away and offers a selection of pork, chicken and vegan ramen with a variety of special sauces and garnishes.

Finally when only pizza will do, Pizza Olympic offer east-coast style pies and Italian entrees and they deliver, just in case you want to treat the team too!

Errands

It’s always great to know you can fill a prescription or pick up a last-minute gift on your lunch break.

For prescriptions, cold medication and everything cosmetic, Walgreens is only a few minutes walk away. They also have a photo service in case you need pictures printed fast too.

For stationery and office supplies, Staples is just a minute away too. Making it easy to stock up on pens, post-its and notebooks as needed. They also have headphones, hard drives and other office and tech supplies to make life easier.

Lunchtime gift shopping can be tough, but Target is on hand with everything from clothing and fitness apparel  to homeware, cards and cosmetics to make buying something for someone special a breeze!

Bed, Bath and Beyond is literally across the street should you need extra towels for guests or a new set of sheets which will save you a trip to the mall.

Recreation

We know how important work-life balance can be – we thought of health and fitness too. And as you feel ready post-covid, there are more than enough options in the surrounding area to slowly venture back into.

For those wanting an easy way to fit a workout into their busy day we have Circuit 45 Gym located downstairs in the same building. They offer private training in small groups, in their unique studio setting. The classes offer everything from spin cycling to kettlebells, ensuring you can find the right workout for you. With it being literally in the same building it’s harder to skip going too!

The more adventurous amongst you might want to exercise mind and body with some more novel exercise – Rockreation’s climbing walls will offer you just the challenge you need. They offer team building activities and classes for new climbers, in case it’s something you have always wanted to try but never had time to.

For those seeking a slower pace or just a chance to take advantage of the awesome weather in LA, Stoner Park is just 12 minutes walk away. They have tennis courts which are perfect if you fancy a quick game or just a chance to practice your backhand. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool which is open seasonally, a skatepark for anyone brave enough to fancy a lunchtime session and a playground in case your kids come to visit too.

Treats

All that exercise can make you hungry. We recommend treating yourself to some of Matcha Cha’s delicious nearby ice cream. Jackie’s family bakery and Top Tier treats are also close by, if you need a cake for a colleagues birthday or just because you have a craving!

Happy Hour

Sometimes, we all need to celebrate and there are some great options nearby for happy hour too. On Thursdays, you’ll get Happy Hour at the Village Workspaces, but for all the other days there are other popular spots. For cocktails, Neat offers classic drinks, craft beer and wine and live music too. Another popular spot is Butcher’s Dog, a British style gastropub offering great food and drink. Sports fans will also love San Francisco Saloon, a local sports bar which is known to screen all major games for when you need to hit pause and check out the playoffs.

Karaoke

Finally, for when you really need to let loose, celebrate or just share your best Beyonce impression with your colleagues, there are two karaoke bars close by. Karaoke Bleu, which is a great spot to stop by and enjoy a cocktail before getting up your courage to sing. For large groups Max Karaoke offers private room hire, so you can take your team and sing to your heart's content.

For any queries about local spots, our front desk staff are well versed in all local spots and even have special offers for Village members at some of them too! Ask them today and learn more about your community.
